Cable Filling Compound: BJ 20E / BJ 20E-M
Grade BJ 20E / BJ 20E-M is ideally suited for cables which have to operate at higher ambient temperatures. A properly filled cable with this compound should be satisfactory for drip test even at elevated temperature for special defence department requirements.

This type of filling compound is normally applied into the cable by special techniques including pressure pumping under carefully controlled temperature so that no voids are left between the insulated telephone conductor pairs. It is also fully compatible with low and medium density polyethylene. The colour of the compound shall not obscure the identification of the insulation of conductors. It is readily removed from the insulated conductor by wiping. BJ 20E / BJ 20E-M does not have any unpleasant odour and is free of any toxicity & dermatitic hazard.

This is used in Jelly Filled Telecommunication Cables to prevent water seepage through polyal and core wrap. This also acts as an absorber for external shocks.
This compound is compatible with normal sheating materials and polyal. Recommended application temperature is 140°C which may be altered to suit individual requirements.

Cable Flooding Compound: WB-5
Cable Flooding Compound WB-5 has been designed to block entry of water between Polyal-Wrap & Polyester-Tape region of the Cable. This compound blocks the entry of water much more effectively than conventional Flooding compounds.
This is a Thixotropic soft compound and non-melting type. It requires special technique of filling in cable and can be easily filled at ambient temperature using small pressure. Being non-melting type it can withstand higher operating field temperatures. Retention of its soft texture at lower temperatures (sub-zero) enables it to keep cable from hardening during the winter season.
